August 25, 2017 in Ulyanovsk State Technical University hosted the "The Day of Russian-Chinese Friendship", in which the collective of the Ulyanovsk regional public organization "Federation of sports and traditional wushu" took part. In the demonstration program, our athletes demonstrated Shaolinquan technique in single and group complexes (Taolu) with traditional weapons and without weapons, And the students of the Guilin University of Technology demonstrated the technique of Taijiquan. The seminar took place at the Cultural Center - "Shaolin", Dimitrovgrad Ulyanovsk Region, Str. 3 Lenin. Theme of the seminar: Baduanjin qigong and Taizu chang quan.

The seminar was attended by more than 50 people, very different ages. Within the framework of the seminar were organized the master classes on traditional tea drinking, calligraphy, Chinese painting, Shaolin history and etc.

Two participants of the seminar were certified for the first duan and two for the second duan, according to the classification of the international Wushu Association.

Guests visited a number of sights of the Ulyanovsk region.

February 28, 2016 in the sports hall of the High school №19 was held the 16th open Championship on traditional Wushu Cup "Golden Turtle". The competition was attended by teams from Ulyanovsk and Dimitrovgrad. The total number of participants – 60 people.

The program of competitions contains: 1-st part – demonstration of techniques of different schools and styles of martial arts (single and group performances, weapons training, stage combat) in the form of a dramatized programme; 2-nd part – the demonstration of Shaolin's taolu without arms; 3-rd part – the demonstration of Shaolin's taolu with weapons.

November 29, 2015 in the gymnasium of secondary school №19 (Russia, Dimitrovgrad) was held the 13th open city championship in traditional Wushu, dedicated to Mother's Day. The competition was attended by teams from Ulyanovsk and Dimitrovgrad. The total number of participants - 54 people. Competition program: Stage 1 - a demonstration of the art of different schools and styles of martial arts (single and group performances, work with weapons, stage combat) in the form of theatrical programs; Stage 2 - demonstration of Shaolin complexes (Taolu) without a weapon; 3rd stage - a demonstration of Shaolin complexes (Taolu) with weapons. From 18 September to 08 October, 2015 team from the Federation Ulyanovsk region, sporting and traditional wushu, was trained at the Academy at the Shaolin Temple in preparation for 11th World Shaolin Wushu Championship, which will be held in 2016 in Zhengzhou - China. The training took place under the guidance of the monks of the Shaolin temple - Shi Yan Zhuang and Shi Xing Zhi.

From 18 to 22 October 2014 the team of the Ulyanovsk region in the Russian team by the traditional Wushu attended the 10th World Championship Shaolin Wushu Festival in Zhengzhou (China). This championship was attended by athletes from more than 60 countries from all continents in all age groups without restrictions. Athletes were in formal complexes with weapons (sword Tao, sword Jiang, chain, stick, and spear) and without arms, breathing exercises - qigong and taijiquan.
